The room was super nice and clean. Just a few steps from the very nice und not busy beach. Bunty and his team are very kind people and help you with everything they can. They arranged us a scooter and surf lessons during our stay in Tallala. We really enjoyed it!!

We’ve loved our stay here. Mani is a wonderful host and we feel very much at home, she’s been so generous with her suggestions and catering to my dietary needs (vegetarian). The food is brilliant and wholesome. We’ve been able to relax and work from the porch and the living room, and take the short walk to Talalla beach for a perfect swim. This is a heritage property and it has been in the family for a long time, you get the feeling of living among local history - which I prefer more than a newly sprung up hotel. And you can spot plenty of colourful birds in the peaceful garden. Easy access to mini marts, fruit vendors, sunset viewpoints, and a short ride to the busier beaches of Dikwella and Hiriketiya.

The very quiet Gardens, the lovely breakfasts, beautiful empty beach, lovely pool and courteous attentive staff. We had a gorgeous room with an out door,roll top bath. If you're looking for a quiet beach, this will hit the spot. The waves are strong so probably best for confident swimmers though you won't have to be an Olympian! The main house is also gorgeous with an airy colonial vibe. Evening meals can be taken at the beach restaurant over the road ( not a busy road). The place is gated with a 24hour watch for the security minded. Various swings, hammocks and board games dotted around. Peacocks, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and chipmunks abound. Heard a Coppersmith Barbet but didn't see it. Fruit bats fly over at sunset. Heaven!

We had a wonderful stay in this brand new guesthouse! The family opened it in December and they are constantly working on improving what they offer. The location is perfect, in the middle between Hiriketiya and Dickwella beach: walking distance from many bars and restaurants, supermarket, shops, street food and the two beaches of course, still in a quiet street surrounded by greeneries. Our bedroom had a large window (which is super rare in Sri Lanka and especially in home stays / guesthouses) on a small balcony, a big (and silent!) fan that for us was more than enough (they also have AC) and an extra big and comfy bed. The wifi was working perfectly (also a rarity!) And special mention to the breakfast: so big and delicious with typical sri lankan food prepared fresh every morning.
