Lovely room located in a lovely property! Very clean and comfortable. A/C available at an additional cost but we didn’t need it as the area was cool enough and the fan in the room was more than enough. Out host cooked up a delicious dinner and breakfast, sorted us some bicycles for cycling around the ancient city. He arranged for us a fantastic guide to take us around Polonnaruwa and we learned so much. I would highly recommend staying here.

Friendly owner operator. Clean. Cooked us a meal. Ordered beer in for me. Just very friendly people It is basic but you know that going in. But worth the stay.

I really enjoyed my stay, the room and bathroom facilities were very very clean and we had a great balcony where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Homemade food was delicious, and we really felt welcome. We really appreciated the bike rent that is very convetient to go visit the sacred city from the home stay. I recommend 100% to stay at this lovely family place :) thank you !

We had an amazing stay at Aruna Homestay over the new year. They invited us into their home and treated us like part of their family. They invited us to celebrated the new year with them. It was an amazing experience and Aruna and his wife and daughters are truly amazing hosts. The room was clean and comfortable - no complaints there - as advertised. We were able to also rent a scooter from Aruna to go exploring more the ancient city which was very helpful. All in all we had a fabulous time - only sad that we could not stay longer.
