Location is always an important factor when choosing where to stay. I was looking for a quiet and safe neighbourhood with shops offering local products, and good access to the main attractions — and Sunlight House had all of these qualities. It’s located close to the beach, stunning cliffs, and a long promenade that leads to the charming centre of Marsaskala, full of restaurants, bars, and shops. The owner made sure the property was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. He is friendly, open, discreet, and very helpful. He also shares fascinating insights about local curiosities, Malta, and its history.

The room was amazing, bright and most important…clean. It’s affordable and not in a quiet or “scary” place. You can go outside till midnight for example. Perfect room. I’m in love with Lokali. I’ve been there twice and I’ll be back in summer.

My stay was simply perfect. I chose this hotel to visit Malta but especially to rest. Not only I got total silence and quietness in a charming environment, as I felt part of a family by the lovely staff. Personalised service, friendliness and efficiency. Fantastic guest house, the host and his family and staff were really friendly and efficient. The location is perfect and views from the roof terrace are stunning. The room was spotless and was cleaned to a high standard every day. Breakfast options could not be faulted.

the staff was helpful, they lent us or umbrella which was a great help. the room was clean and they cleaned it a few times during our stay. it is located close to shops like Lidl and the promenade where you can walk in the evening.

    The owner/staff was helpful, very friendly, kind... The location is amazing, with local café and promenad of Marsaskala we went during night and morning to enjoy local food.There was bus stop close by. We took bus 91/93 to Valletta with good price. This way we experienced friendly locals, food with good price etc.

    The host Maria was super friendly and helpfull such a great host! The room was clean and modern and had the most beautiful view. It was located nearby restaurants and cafés. It is a smaller village, which we prefered as it was more autentic and not touristic. It is easy to get around with Uber or Bolt to go to nearby places like Valetta or the beach.
