Best place to stay in Cape Maclear. We stayed in a dorm and it was clean and nice. The breakfast and the views are amazing and the stuff is super nice and helpful. Thumbi View is the best place to stay if you need to relax by the pool or just hang out around. Def a place to come back!

Location is superb, right on the shore of Lake Malawi. Dinner had to be pre-ordered but consisted of a buffet of some delicious curries. Drink prices are very reasonable, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful and friendly. There are locals offering boat trips. If you are into birds, get one to take you out to see and feed the fish eagles. Preferably at sunset. Magic!

Superb location right on the beach with a nice small pool. Very friendly staff and nice bar with good meals. I really enjoyed my three day stay at Thumbi View. Large comfortable bed with mosquito netting and lots of hot water and big thick towels! The village is quite small with a few lodges and restaurants and shops but everything you need is here. Went out to a local bar with a pool table one night which was full of locals and very friendly with great Malawian music playing. I will definitely be back.
