It is such a quaint, comfortable, cosy, nice place… its located very central and i loved my stay as it felt like an actual home ☺️ been on the road for few years, so it feels good!! The energy is very peaceful and the owner is superfriendly and helpful as well. I will definitely return if im in Taiping again 🥰

I recently had the pleasure of a staycation at Rumah No 5 in Taiping, and it was nothing short of amazing. Azmil who was previously a manager at 5-star-hotel in Langkawi- even let us checked-in earlier than the appointed time and thoughtful enough to show us around the house and explained every little details. The hotel is neat and clean. The instructions to enter the hotel is easy to understand. It has multiple games to play such as UNO cards, mini snooker table. It's good for friends to enjoy their staycation. There was a parking spot reserved for their customer. They have a fridge, hot and cold water dispenser, dish soap and sponge to do the dishes, blankets were comfortable.

The view from the room is superb. The surrounding area is a quaint little fishing village, which is quite charming. The river cruise is quite nice too. We were especially happy with the guy at the reception (probably the owner), CK Khor, for all his hospitality. He gave us a room on the lower floor, upon our request (the premise has no lift), and gave us a lot of good tips for sightseeing. He was very warm and friendly, always making sure that our stay was pleasant. The restaurant below the hotel, Rasa Sayang Seafood Restaurant, is simply fantastic.

PRO: 1. Very near to main attractions (Bukit Merah Laketown Resort). 3 to 5 minutes drive only. 2. Worth the money. Spacious space for my 6 family members (2A4C). We only use 8 hours for sleep. 3. Self check-in and check-out procedure very simple and no hassle. Convenient for me. 4. Car parking very near. Less than 20m door-to-door. 5. The video provided on how getting there and parking from host - very handful as guide.
