Originally i had only planned to stay for three nights at the Farmhouse of the Tiwari family. But after I arrived at this idyllic place and got to know Bishnu, Kalpana, Bibek and Binayak, I knew that I will stay longer. In the end I stayed over a week and it was such a lovely, relaxing and interesting time. The house is located in a beautiful village, surrounded by terrace fields and abundant with different bird species. I was welcomed as a part of the family and experienced local life and culture. Every day I was treated with local dishes, made mostly with homegrown ingredients, and all of them were delicious! Bishnu showed me around the farm on a two hour tour, took me to the local milk collection center, the village rice mill, to springs around the village, milking their cows and to see some honeybees. I celebrated Shivaratri at the local Shiva temple with the family and experienced the celebration of their ancestors. When i wanted to relax i enjoyed my time in the beautiful yard, on the rooftop with perfect views of the Himalayas or strolling around the village, talking to locals. One can walk in 1,5 hours to Namobuddha monastery, go to Dhulikel or visit a waterfall nearby. If you want to relax, eat well, experience nepali culture, talk to locals or just be in a beautiful surrounding - this place is for you! I am very thankful for the hospitality of this family and i‘m sure that the memory of this place will stay with me for a long time. Thank you!

I love the egg fried rice. very nice boss and the family. The girl speaks excellent English and is studying in college. I see her textbook is in English. The view is so widely opened from the lodge. we all love the stay. and the bed sheet is very comfortable.

Nice and comfortable accomodation, quiet and pieceful. Shila and Ashok are wonderful hosts in Panauti and will help with everything you need. Shila is a great chef and so we could eat together super delicious traditional meals. Ashok is working as a guide too and it was very interesting and helpful to talk to him about our trekking programs. 24h hot shower guaranteed and perfect stay for few days just to relax and maybe do some day hiking. They gave us a variety of experiences according to our wishes. They let me cook meals with them, and I was able to learn how to make homemade Nepali food and the Newari culture. The food I ate here for dinner, breakfast and lunch was the most delicious during my trip to Nepal. The fun conversations I had with my host family are also unforgettable memories. Also, the room was clean and I felt very comfortable. I would like to come stay again.

A fantastic place in peaceful surroundings. So happy I stayed here instead of nagarkot center. Super easy to get around this area with local busses. The family that runs the place are very nice and easy to deal with. Fantastic view over Kathmandu valley from their restaurant.
