I had a wonderful stay at the Lumbini Village Lodge ! Host Jupiter is very knowledgeable and can help you with arranging tours to the local archaeological sites if you are so inclined - he also helped me arrange transport across the border to India. The hotel itself is well-located nearby the Maya Devi Temple and the Lumbini Development project - the best restaurants are just around the corner as well ! I will be sure to visit again when I am next in Nepal.

Everything is spotless clean. And the shower is piping hot. The location is superb, very close to gate 5 and just a few steps from where the buses stops. The staff is so friendly and speak very good English. They will give you all the information you need. There is no restaurant, but tell them what you are looking for, and they will point you in the right direction. They were spot on with what they recommend me. The WiFi is excellent.
