Absolutely loved staying here , so cozy and warm. The little details make a big difference. It was pouring with rain when we got there and the host pre heated it for us can't thank you enough.

Very beautiful place to stay with everything we needed for an overnight rest while traveling . Plenty of beaches and bush walks nearby . Looking forward to returning again.

We really enjoyed our short stay. Being just a couple of minutes walk from the Stone Store makes it a great location with easy access to the bush walks and waterfalls. Nice to be able to park the car off the road and the studio itself is very quiet and peaceful looking out onto well maintained gardens. The studio is cosy with TV, bench space, toaster, kettle, microwave and utensils. A couple of comfy chairs and a single bed. The main bedroom is spacious with a modern bright and clean ensuite shower, basin and toilet. The hosts are adjacent and are super friendly and engaging, more than happy to help and make sure that you are comfortable. We were initially drawn by the reasonable price and were unsure what you expect, but this place exceeded our expectations.

Really nice place. We got there pretty late and we’re easily able to get in. Bathroom was amazing. Lots of lovely little touches like moisturizer, cookies, coffee, and reading material.

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

We are campervanning around the country and used this place as a hideout in a very rainy week. Dave and Suz were very friendly, all was arranged nice and easy. The facilities were all there and lovely, personally I loved the toiletries and scent in the bathroom. Definitely recommended!

This is a very amazing experience! The house is very large, the facilities are also great, and the courtyard is beautiful. We met the hosts, who were very friendly and enthusiastic.They even made dumplings for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. This makes us feel very warm. I highly recommend this place to everyone. 谢谢！新年快乐！

Very lovely owner created my husband and I on arrival plenty of parking and right by the beautiful beach - it’s got beautiful bars just a walks away from your room, the bed was super comfortable and very true to size we booked a Dulux king room. Amazing tv - we definitely will be staying for our quick trips home.
