Large area with a great outdoors space. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting the bay of islands, which was one of my favorite places in New Zealand. We had one room with a lot of area, and another with very little area, so that was interesting.

We stayed for two nights at the Riverside Homestead while visiting Bay of Islands and a day trip out to Cape Reinga. What a wonderful stay - the house is one of the most peaceful places we have stayed at. Michael and Chris have exceptional attention to details, from calming music when entering the room to an excellent breakfast on the balcony while enjoying the fantastic views down to the river. Everything at breakfast was home made as well! Great location to some nice restaurants, breweries and to the treaty ground. We will definitely recommend friends and family to stay here!

Absolutely loved staying here , so cozy and warm. The little details make a big difference. It was pouring with rain when we got there and the host pre heated it for us can't thank you enough.

Beautifully fitted out. The bed was so comfortable! Very private. Great little walk to the Stone Store. We loved looking out the big windows into the garden and eating on the deck. A really relaxing place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Taranaki. The bach was clean and tidy, well equipped, very comfortable, and well located for trips to Russell, Paihia, and Waitangi. The self-contained apartment is in a quiet location with beautiful views over the inlet below. Elizabeth was the perfect host, making us feel comfortable, chatting about the area, and leaving us in peace to enjoy the environment. We loved everything about it!
