Rachelle was very friendly, hospitable and overall an excellent host. I felt comfortable straight away upon arriving. The facilities were great - stocked kitchen and bathroom with a bath (I love a hot bath!). The room was also private and very comfortable. Easy to access the main house through a door and the bathroom was just adjacent. I wasn't there for very long as I was flying early the next day. On that note it is conveniently located very close to the airport.

The whole setting is amazing, the house, the garden, the scenery. The highway is nearby but the noise doesn't come through. The interior of the house is preserved as if nothing has changed since the XIX century. Both inside and out, the house looks like a sibling of the rich house museums of the past that you can visit in Dunedin. There is the music room on the ground floor - with the grand piano! When you play it, the whole room responds and resonates in a pleasant way. Jenny and Gerard are friendly hosts. They do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
