The guilds that are so clearly represented in the local architecture are also depicted in paintings on the walls inside. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and we also had use of the beautiful courtyard. Jan and his wife were lovely hosts, welcoming and informative. They provided a small breakfast that was in part of their own private quarters. This is a wonderful base to really experience a medieval property and town. Breakfast was generous & included delicious home made jams etc…we told the host that we were vegetarian and Carolina prepared zucchini fritters, tomato bruschetta & guacamole bruschetta instead of meats.
