Beautiful place in nature Rooms with private pier and access to the lake for a reasonable price. The employee in charge, Joseph, is a wonderful person and arranges everything! Transport between Kabale and the lake can be arranged via them. Accommodation is basic, but the environment is crazy beautiful and given their price, they offer amazing value. If you want to stay at the lake, but you are a budget traveller, then this is the option for you! They even include a free canoe trip to go to the place.

Me and my wife had a really nice stay at Makanka Hill Suites. A new and posh house in a quiet place. Spaceous and clean rooms with refreshments. We were served nice breakfast. They also organized a day trip for us to the amazing lake bunyonyi. Thank you very much for your hospitality and some great days.

Wilfried and his family are absolute gems. We had the best stay there, loved sharing our meals with the family and getting to know more about the region through the eyes of a local. Wilfried also helped us organise a day trip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for my partner’s birthday gift. It was certainly a highlight of our time in Africa. The views from the bedroom were stunning, we spent some time on the balcony just reading and watching the lake. The sunset was beautiful. The cooking was all homemade and delicious with a mix of local recipes and international recipes. The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure.
