Family-run for over 300 years, Gasthof Post in Rennweg is just off the A10 motorway and a 5-minute drive from the Katschberg Ski Area. It offers a sauna, steam bath, and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian and Carinthian cuisine. We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Post very much. Traditional Austrian decor with the hints of modern was exactly what we wanted. Super clean, comfortable bads and specious rooms. Great Austrian hospitality.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, meticulously clean and comfortable property. The family that owns and operates this recently renovated property welcomed us with open arms and took very good care of us. Our room was very comfortable. The shower was great. Balcony views incredible. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Carinthia, mostly locally sourced fresh products. Good coffee, good eggs. We are hiking Alpe Adria trail and this has been one of our favorite stays. Thanks for hosting us! I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone walking Alpe Adria or touring my car in the area.

The homestay offers bed linen, towels and housekeeping service. Owners are fantastic. They had an accident in our room with a burst pipe on our arrival day so they had to cancel our stay. But I had no internet access as my mobile got stuck so I did not see their reports of cancellation. When we arrived they arranged a new accomodation for us and paid for it. We only travelled through but this was a lovely place to stay. Our hosts were kind, the breakfast was fine, the beds were comfy. Nice roomy balcony. The surrounding is beautiful.
