If I could give this place 20 stars I would. It was truly one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had and it is mostly thanks to the incredible host Chimney. He is a remarkable person and host. He helped us so much when we had a car break down and drove us across Savuti to Khwai (which is an incredible distance). I highly recommend staying here and booking meals and activities with Chimney. His game drives were fantastic and he has a great chef who makes wonderful food. The lodge itself is very simple and comfortable with a very reasonable price but the extras are what makes the place extraordinary. Chimney is also a community leader and many things that he is doing is to help his entire village. It is clear the lodge is a labor of love for him and he built it on the site of his grandmother's house.

Absolutely loved this property and the staff. We were treated like long-lost friends the minute we arrived and were always greeted with a beautiful smile and our names when we came to the restaurant. She also recommended restaurants in the area, and provided transportation herself. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shalakwe Hills!!
