Casa Esperanza is fabulous. It’s in a lovely quiet street which is very convenient for everything in Basel. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean. The thing which set it apart was the amazing effort the owners went to to make the stay easy and enjoyable: great information, free public transport in Basel and, especially, every conceivable supply (toiletries, food prep materials, you name it). This, of course, made it great value.

The location is excellent. a lot of attention is paid to the cleanliness of the room.The beds are comfortable. Everything is so quiet.Even though the bathroom is shared, the owner takes special care of cleanliness.I have never experienced a bathroom that is so clean and that smells so nice . Although we did not meet the owner, I get the impression that she cares a lot about making sure that her guests leave satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely come again.

The room is spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring a smart TV and high-quality bathroom amenities. Everything you might need is provided. The kitchen is shared but well-equipped—we cooked there several times. It includes an oven, microwave, fridge, electric stove, and cutlery. A bottle opener and corkscrew would be a welcome addition. Although check-in is self-service, the staff was very friendly and offered great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. We visited several of the suggested spots and had a lovely experience overall.

Everything was great! Howard is a great host and willing to share with gladness everything in his apartment. Be mindful that it is shared, which is very clear in the title and reviews. If you are ok with that then this place is excellent value for your money and location is close to tram. Highly recommended.
