Everything, from the idyllic location to the room, the staff and food was incredible. The food makes you want to eat here every day. Breakfast is very diverse with use of mostly local products or local (breakfast)dishes. Delicious. Dinner is equally mouthwatering. Wide range of drinks as well. Rooms are modern, large and very comfortable. Then the location. It’s awesome. The views are unbeatable and the place is only a short walk away from the bigger town Vilas das Pombas. The owner and her husband are some of the nicest hotel owners I’ve met. They definately went the extra mile. Highly recommend Kasa d’Vizin.

MeloMar Rooms is situated in Ponta do Sol. With sea views, this accommodation features a patio. The guest house has family rooms. We had a lovely stay at MeloMar Rooms in Ponta do Sol. The accommodation is very central (about 5 mins from just about everything in town) and is clean and comfortable. We had a huge room with a balcony and a very modern en-suite bathroom. A big benefit for us was also the well equipped shared kitchen which meant we could cook for ourselves on a couple of nights. But the best thing about the stay was our hosts, they were kind and friendly and although they didn’t speak much English and we don’t speak much Portuguese, we made it all work just fine! In particular they helped us out when we got the timing wrong for the morning aluguer to Porto Novo - they phoned around and then went out into the square to help find a driver that was willing to to take us in time for our transfer. Amazing. Thank you - I hope we can come back and stay again some time.

Situated in Paul in the Santo Antao region, Alfa-Rooms has a balcony. This homestay features a garden. Rooms have a terrace with views of the mountain. Wow! We didn't expect how lovely this place is designed. The pictures don't match the real world experience. It easily outperforms most 4 star hotels in Europe - super modern and well thought of. In addition the host is most caring and welcoming. Also it is perfect to do the most stunning hike on Santo Antao, from Cova to Pombas. Just book it, you certainly won't be disappointed. Residencial Lela d'Fermina í Pombas býður upp á garðútsýni, gistirými, garð, verönd, bar og sameiginlega setustofu. I absolutely loved staying at Residencial Lela d’Fermina and next time I’m back in Santo Antão this is the place I’ll stay at, no doubt. The owner, Mr Antonio, is a gem of a person, and the whole staff was really nice and kind. The room was spacious and had everything I needed — I’d probably just add a kettle. The restaurant across the road was also such a lovely experience, the view is amazing, the owner is so kind, and the food is delicious and so cheap. After the craziness of Mindelo I really appreciated the opportunity to rest at this peaceful place, surrounded by mountains, and chilling by the pool. Antonio is really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he made sure I was taken care of the entirety of my stay. Muito obrigado, Sr António! Love the house. Very comfortable and authentic. This time with concert included. The host Arlindo with his band Cordas do Sol were playing on the main street at a local event. Spectacular and fully recommended!

I loved the peace of the place. Like a paradise in the middle of the mountains with the sea view from afar. This place is ideal for a hiker's break, ideal to stay isolated from confusion, a good place for a reset, or a place to share with your other half for a romantic stay ❤️

Casa Celeste er staðsett í Ponta do Sol og býður upp á gistirými með setusvæði. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir borgina og hljóðláta götu. The location is just perfect. Excellent value for this price with very nice people running this place.

This accommodation became our home for the first 6 nights on Santo Antao Island. Clean and comfortable accommodation in a quiet, pleasant environment with a good breakfast served as an ideal starting point for our exploration of the northern part of the island.

Nice place with friendly staff. No air-conditioning but still cool by leaving windows open, with the downside being outside noise and a couple of streetlights lighting the room somewhat.
