Casa Barbara quiet, clean and the host were super friendly. We loved having coffee by the pool and hanging out with her friendly sweet pups. The size of the beach cottage was perfect for the two of us. The ac worked great for sleeping at night if you like a colder temp. I was also impressed with the hand poured concrete kitchen counter top and woodwork for bed and shelves. All functionality was well thought out.

Everything was clean, I was given beach towels in addition to normal shower towels and Richard was super helpful. I arrived on a day with heavy thunderstorms and he invited me to have homemade dinner so I wouldn't have to go out in the rain. The location is also great. It's only a very short walk to the boat terminal where tours to Los Haitises and the ferry to Sabana de la Mar depart from.

The Italian Manager is very nice, rooms are clean (and this is Not Everywhere in the DR) and the best Beach is very close. Parking is outside on the street. AirCon costs 10€ extra. We had a wonderful experience in Las Galeras, and a big part of it was thanks to Dario, an exceptional host who made our stay truly special. From the very first moment, he welcomed us warmly and ensured that we had everything we needed to feel at home. The accommodation he provided was simply perfect: spacious, clean, comfortable, and set in a breathtaking natural environment. The area is peaceful and far from mass tourism, making it not only beautiful but also incredibly pleasant. It was the ideal retreat to relax after spending our days exploring the stunning beaches nearby. Dario didn’t just offer us the best possible conditions for our stay—he constantly made sure we had great recommendations on how to make the most of our time in Las Galeras. Thanks to his guidance, we discovered hidden gems and explored some of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic. The excursions he suggested were spectacular, taking us to breathtaking locations we would have never found on our own. His kindness, availability, and passion for the place made our experience even more authentic and unforgettable. It’s rare to find a host so attentive and caring! I liked that they had a private parking area. That's why I chose there. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked great. They have a small mini fridge as well which was nice. They also have a small kitchen and washer and spinner. I was able to do my washing there and then put my clothes outside on the chairs and by the morning they were dry. The host was very nice as well. It is in town so you can go eat nearby. I felt safe.
