I can’t recommend Tai Evi Homestay enough, we had an absolutely amazing 4 days! From the moment we arrived it was like we had arrived at home, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We relaxed around the village, went swimming at the beach, attended church service, attended a school party, danced, tried kava, helped at the farm, played games with the children, visited the school, played rugby and so much more. The community of people at Soso village are just fantastic people, it’s so beautiful to see such an amazing group of people looking out for each other everyday. We took the ferry to barefoot manta resort and got picked up by the speedboat from there as we planned to stay there after the homestay. You can book Silo’s speedboat from the mainland. It is much quicker, cheaper and is more helpful for the homestay but the journey might not be as comfortable as the ferry. Thank you so much to everyone at Soso village, there are too many to name. Thank you for the amazing food, chats, games, laughs and for your fantastic hospitality. We loved our visit so much and hope to come back one day. Vinaka! :)
Nanuya Lailai
Voyager Retreat Homestay offers accommodation in Nanuya Lailai. Set on the beachfront, this property has a private beach area, a garden and a terrace. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. This is one of the most authentic and beautiful places in all the Yasawa Islands. Vilise and his father took care of us as if we were family. Vilise is a good cook, my girlfriend is celiac and he really took care that everything was perfect for her. They also make delicious ice creams with local fruit from the island. It is a very un-touristy area and they are very nice people. We spent three days there of disconnection and absolute relaxation, without a doubt the most authentic experience with local people you can have in Fiji. We hope to be back soon!
Savusavu
Situated in Savusavu in the Vanua Levu region, Latui Loft has a patio and mountain views. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation features full-day security, and luggage storage for guests. Candida & Grant's generosity of spirit made my visit to Savusavu extra special. Candida had a list of activity providers, and she helped make sure the activity was good based on weather, etc. The place was clean and had everything I needed, plus a nice assortment of welcome treats. The environment is serene, and you're close to town. The terrace was lovely for all times of day, to enjoy a coffee or drink and take in the views and nature. The outdoor shower was a luxury that I didn't know I needed. They offered rides whenever they were headed into town and made sure I was comfortable and shared deliious fresh fruit from the garden that came ripe while I was there. Sometimes, a host is more than just a host. Latui Loft is a gem.

Community based run! It was really the best experience as you have contact to the locals and the team is really nice!!
Facilities were fine for price - clean, well upkept, large rooms. Vibes were more of a long-stay place with travellers who had been there for >1 month. Food was decent and plentiful. Great place for experiencing the culture, they offered school and village tours and some travellers used it as a gateway to homestays around Wayalailai
Incredible hosts, beautifully remote and really rustic. An authentic experience of what Fiji locals have to offer. And absolutely incredible coral and tropical fish just in front of the resort
Really appreciated Emily and her family they were great hosts/guides. spear fishing was one of the many highlights along with picureesque views above and underwater good bush ,Coconut husking and even got to play vollyball with the locals who were really friendly, also had a good laugh playing cards with the Fijian boys! Sure food wasn't 5 star but it was tasty and there was always enough (even for my 2 teenage sons). If your happy to forego some luxurys Wai Makre is an amazing experiance in a stunning location. Thanks Wai Makre crew!
Thank you for giving me such a warm welcome here at Taven Homestay! I have always felt at home far away from my home in Germany. I had a wonderful time playing Uno with Tusi, his wife Julie and Don who also stayed here for more than a few days. Not to mention Salome and all the other friendly people I've met here! The food was really delicious and I felt like I was in a beautifully maintained botanical garden. Next time I am in Fidji I will definitely come back to this place!
The coral reefs.. was beautiful and fresh.. Loved the clams and beautiful fish, sunrise was beautiful, sitting with the locals for breakfast was a treat
We liked the pool and outdoor area. The bar and poolside area was open to public and well used by locals. While it got a bit rowdy on Saturday night, the very courteous security guard was always on hand and we always felt safe. We had dinner at the restaurant and the Indian food was particularly delicious and it was good value. we also liked the atmosphere in the dining area with lots of old photographs.
I stayed only 2 nights at Navi's homestay and I wish I had more time. They welcomed me as familly, food was delicious, and it was a great experience to discover the local life (going to church, visiting the village, drinking kava with locals..). Thanks for opening your home to me and for your kindness !
Salome and her husband were very nice and caring. They made us feel like home. Spending time at this home stay give you a different perspective as how the locals live. Food and location were perfect.
