With respect to the local architecture, the stone-built Nereids Guesthouse enjoys views of the Saronic Gulf and Hydra Town from its furnished terraces. It consists of elegantly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi. Amazing view! No noise except for donkeys, cat fights and birds, but we slept like babies. The bed is perfect! You can have coffee or a drink on the beautiful terrace with a sea view. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. It is located 250 metres from the port and 500 metres from Ydra’s main beach. We accidentally booked from saturday to sunday, and arrived on friday. The staff were very kind and helped us get a room from friday on. We had a great weekend at Mirandas! Thank you:)

The property is beautiful, peaceful, calm and serene. The breakfast is show-stopping, everything is made in house including the particularly delicious sweet treats (shout out to the best rice pudding I have ever had). The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, a 2min walk away from a gorgeous restaurant (which was Leonard Cohen’s haven when he lived in Hydra!), and about a 5min walk from the front.
