The property is a good location - it is not right in the center of town which makes it a little quieter but it’s still a very quick walk into town. The view from the balcony is beautiful! We had a lot of cloud when visiting so we couldn’t see the mountains but just the view of town was great. The room has cozy blankets, tea/coffee station and an ensuite. It was very clean and no smell from the sewage (which I have found rare in India). Good hot water shower! The room itself is a bit cool but not an issue when your under the covers (and this may be less of an issue in the winter when heat is probably on). Beds are on the stiffer side, but not uncomfortable. I think the biggest selling part is the family that runs this. They are so lovely and helpful! They recommend places to visit and helped us book a taxi back to town. Not to mention they served a great breakfast and momos! We didn’t know what a home stay would be like so we were a bit hesitant, but this stay was great! We would recommend.

You have a beautiful garden and are surrounded by nature, which is lovely if you want to escape the more crowded Darjeeling centre. The full view of Kanchenjunga from the hill in the garden is the cherry on top! Also what made my stay here unforgettable was the staff. They took me in as family, provided really good homecooked meals and helped me wherever they could. Panda, Arun, Chitme and others: Thanks for making me feel at home and safe as a female solo traveller. Highly recommend!

Their hot water was good. Their lovely home is set back from the road too so it’s really quiet and their garden is lovely 🙏🙏🙏
