With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Bathrooms are shared. Very clean, great shared kitchen, bedroom large and comfortable. The staff is amazing especially Monika who helped me pay a parking fine. She went above and beyond being helpful. A really lovely person that helped me and made my stay so nice.

Excellent location where it is convenient to go to explore all the surroundings of Mivathn lake. On the day of arrival an accident occurred on the pipeline and for several hours the water disappeared but the owners promptly brought drinking water and were ready to help in every possible way. There is a spacious kitchen with everything you need for cooking, as well as a refrigerator for storing food. At Dimmuborgir Guesthouse, all rooms and cottages feature private bathroom facilities. Private full kitchen facilities are provided in the cottages, while guest rooms have access to a shared kitchen. Check-in was easy - keys and extra information were waiting for us at reception when we arrived. We were upgraded to a cottage which has everything needed for a great stay. Views from the cottage were beautiful, the location is just across the road from the lava fields. Hosts helped us book tickets for a discount. Great experience overall!

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. On-site facilities include 2 hot tubs and a communal TV lounge. Free WiFi is available in the common areas. Very good breakfast whit self made waffle, home made jams. The diner with lamb was good, also the warm home made rubarber. There are 2 hot tubs beside the place to use. Good WiFi and very friendly waitresses.
