We stayed here for a total of four days. The host of the homestay was very friendly and introduced everything to us, as well as guiding us on how to get to the ski resort. The environment was very clean and tidy, and from the place we stayed, we could see beautiful snowy mountain scenery.

14 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Guest House Hostel yukuru is a recently renovated property situated in Iiyama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 21 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

A recently renovated guest house in Nozawa Onsen and within 22 km of Ryuoo Ski Park, Oyado Tamayura features ski-to-door access, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. It is set 33 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and offers luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Amazing hosts! Property was super well maintained and super clean, everything we can ask for, and most importantly super close to the gondola!

We had two amazing nights at Shioriya. The hosts were so welcoming and warm. Such lovely people. Everything was so beautiful and clean. The breakfast was amazing. There are also good restaurants nearby. We can recommend this place one hundred percent!

One of my favorite places to stay in my six weeks of travelling. Very nice and helpful owners! Beautiful surroundings. A good place to relax, rooftop terrace and garden you can chill in. Was able to borrow a bike and bicycle around the area.

Featuring a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Probably my favorite hostel while traveling in Japan. It's located very close to Matsumoto castle, as well as a lot of restaurants. The staff was extremely nice, making me feel welcome from start to finish. There is a bar and communal location, perfect for socializing, especially if you're a solo traveler.
