The first floor was a stunning, private library and at the entrance they run a cosy caffee with self baken scones and cookies and spirit, if you're keen on in the evening. Local friends and customers gathered there, always a pleasant option to get in contact with locals or having a refreshing chat. The value for money is top notch, so is the atmosphere.

The host Miss Hanneke is a kind and helpful lady who offered lots of assistance during my stay. She helped me to collect my lost backpack last January from the JR station and kept it safe for me so I could get it back. She even offered to drop me off at Arita station when I needed to leave although she was very busy with the preparation work for the upcoming Japanese holiday. I couldn’t thank her enough for her kindness.

The property is around 47 km from Fukuoka Tower, 48 km from Fukuoka Castle and 48 km from Maizuru Park. The accommodation provides a hot tub, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. I wish we had stayed here longer! Very pleasant house, the room was nice, beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower was large. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, and we cooked dinner there. Ask the owner about the artwork inside the house! She also made several recommendations for places to go, landmarks and a cafe to visit. We went to some of these and are glad we did! She also assisted with a translation issue to help make a doctors appointment, and generally was just so welcoming. Other residents were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting.

Takashi-san provided great suggestions and even accompanied us to some Arita sights!
