Later during the temple experience, we learned a lot about the local temple culture. I would highly recommend their guesthouse to anyone interested in having an in-depth understanding of local Japanese communities.

The surrounding was quite peaceful and the food that was provided was excellent. Masako San was so kind to drive us to and from the train station and the train ride from Kyoto was convenient. By far the best stay of my trip here. Owners are so kind and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They prepare your bath, take you shopping, and even to rent a bicycle and then to the train station on my last day. Amazing people. The classical music and the view every morning are just exquisite. Could not be happier. Incredible value for your money also.
