The homestay in the countryside gave us unique experiences impossible to get while staying in a hotel in the city. Savet and his wife were very friendly and helpful.

I can highly recommend choosing the Lazy Mango Homestay in Battambang! It is a real homestay with the family around and taking care of you all the time. They have beds inside their house, separated by curtains as far as I could see, and they also have two private bungalows with private bathrooms. We stayed in the latter for 8 nights and were very sad to leave. The whole family is lovely! Ma and Pa host the guests and are so warm and welcoming. Mom has a nice restaurant close by, and cooks an amazing dinner with loads of choices of real Cambodian food if you like. The 6$ per person are totally worth it! She even cooked vegetarian food for us which was amazing! Her husband is a super nice tuktuk driver who is easily reached directly through any family member. And Harry is a great tour guide who has a vast knowledge about anything regarding Cambodia, the history, the rural life, and the neighbouring countries. He has two tours he usually suggests to the guests who stay only for a few days but if you stay longer, you can also customize it, as we did, and mix and match, and discuss the possibilities with Harry. We really enjoyed our stay with them, and are grateful for the wonderful time, and the glimpse into the life of a Cambodian family. Thank you all, Ma, Pa, Mom, Harry, and everyone else we met in your house!

Bun Homestay er staðsett í 1,7 km fjarlægð frá nýlendubyggingunum og býður upp á gistirými með verönd. Bun is the most welcoming host you can think of. He is willing to accommodate you with whatever you need, but he doesn’t impose anything on you. The place is lovely, the location is perfect, breakfast is included. Bun picked me up from the bus station and he later took me there when I was leaving free of charge, which hotels usually don’t do. Also, he was always available through whatsapp and replied to all my requests immediately. Thank you Bun!

Battambang Eco Stay er staðsett í Phumĭ Pring, í innan við 4,9 km fjarlægð frá Battambang-safninu og 5,2 km frá nýlendubyggingum. Spending time with a traditional Cambodian family was a rewarding experience. The flexibility of our hosts was excellent.

Cutest little place in a very authentic setting, the family running it is just awesome and goes above on beyond to make you feel welcome :-) They even recommended a little local restaurant where we were the only tourists and had the best food we’ve had in Cambodia! 🥳

We had the most wonderful stay with Saro and are so glad we chose to stay here. His wife cooked delicious meals and we enjoyed chatting at the table with him and the other guests - Saro shared about his life and about Cambodian life and culture. Our kids loved playing with the kids and the animals (especially the cats). The location (a little out of town) is so pretty - and an easy walk to see the bats or walk up to the temple. Saro organised tuk tuks to pick us up from the train, a guided tour around Battambang, a vehicle to take us to the ferry, and our ferry tickets - all so helpful. We highly recommend staying here for a quiet, peaceful, authentic experience.

Located in Battambang and only 4.9 km from Battambang Museum, Bamboora Sanctuary Battambang provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property is beautiful, relaxing, and very peaceful. With the conflict going on with Thailand, there are no problems here and we were not worried. The skirmishes are many hours away from here. Our host was so kind and sweet. He had us try a few Cambodian foods that we really liked and did not charge us.

John and Anut were amazing hosts. They made sure you're a well cared for. Went out for coffee in the morning, got some breakfast at the local market. Even took me on an outing for the day to their second property in the country. Anut, John and I had some great conversations. I hung out with Kimlang and UTI in the gardens. Kimlang is an excellent cook. I would highly recommend meal there. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. And they were just nice people to hang out with. He will just love a Anut's smile.

Primprey Second Home er 2,3 km frá Battambang-safninu og býður upp á gistingu með verönd og garði. Gististaðurinn er með sólarhringsmóttöku og lautarferðarsvæði. Primprey was the best host we could get in Battambang. Very helpful and friendly.

Mother's House er með útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, í um 1 km fjarlægð frá nýlendubyggingum. Þessi heimagisting er með svalir. Everything it was very central and the host was so lovely
