From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with love and said, “Stay like your home and walk anywhere.” And honestly, we felt exactly that just like home. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and treated us like her own children. She even let us use her personal kitchen to cook our meals. She prepared a delicious homemade breakfast, beautifully presented and served with love. The place itself is very beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy quiet moments. The atmosphere was calm and felt very safe. More than just a stay, this was a heartwarming experience. Aunty Thennakoon’s exceptional hospitality made it special. We had lovely conversations with her, just like with a close relative. And created memories we’ll never forget. Thank you so much, Aunty Thennakoon. We will always remember you with love. ❤️

Beautifully restored villa with three lovely guest rooms. The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!

The family were so accommodating and were very helpful to share all the tours, local food, cheaper options for my trip. I’m a female solo traveller and I felt right at home here. The whole family made me feel very safe and Karunarathna waited for me at every stop of our tour. This place is very peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room is very clean, the bed comfy, the option of AC or Fan in the room. The whole family really go above and beyond for their guests and I’m so grateful for them. They are genuinely good people and want their guests to enjoy Kandy! Thank you guys for having me! ❤️

Kandy Museum is 1.6 km away and Ceylon Tea Museum is 5.5 km from the homestay. Beautiful, elevated location with a breathtaking view down on to the lake and the mountains. In the evening you can see a lit white Buddha statue and a temple, together with the lights of all the houses. Extremely clean. Very nice forniture and a comfortable big bed. The traditional Sri Lanka breakfast was large and delicious. The lady was extremely nice and even made a package with what I couldn’t eat from the breakfast and I could have a tasty takeaway snack on the train from Kandy to Ella. I loved everything!

I arrived drained and I left mystified! ✨️

It was a great experience to arrive there. Upon arrival, we were immediately welcomed with tea and cookies, which made the start of the day very pleasant. It was a really beautiful setting there, definitely a recommendation! It was a shame we couldn't stay longer because we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The room was small, but perfect for us. The bed was fantastic and very comfortable, which made sure we could rest well. Overall, a great experience!
