There’s also fast food and other restaurants nearby if you’re craving a quick bite. Honestly, the hospitality here is top-notch. Sahan and the team really care about their guests. I felt safe, relaxed, and very well taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!🍹🇻🇳

The rest of the cabin is small but functional. Give yourself a few hours to stay there and watch the animals of the lake. We were braced for clouds of insects, but there weren't many, maybe we got lucky. We also went for the morning lake tour which was fantastic. Excellent breakfast as well. The host was really helpful and easy to get ahold of.

This is a lovely and very well appointed family home of the host. I reached there in the evening and was settling down to rest. And heard some music and some sounds of singing somewhere nearby in the neighbourhood. I was eager to join into to a local celebration but hesitated. In sometime the host and his wife came by to apologise for the sound and the distrubance that this might be causing me. At that point I was bold enough to ask what the event was and whether I could join in. And they were extremely welcoming. So I spent the next few hours at their family karaoke in the next house with younger relatives who were visiting on a holiday. Everyone sang Sri Lankan songs and I joined in with one or two songs from Bollywood that we all knew. It was as if I'd known them forever. This was a charming evening - THAT MONEY COULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT - it just happened as a matter of luck. The memories will stay forever. The next day I was to leave - but one of the daughters was leaving for work before me - she came up to say bye to me - amazing 'family' vibes. Totally loved the connection. I hope our paths cross again!

The rooms are nice and clean, the bed comfortable and you can rent a bike there to go visit the city (although a bit old they work well). The breakfast was very good. Our only regret was spending only one night here and continue our chat with the son and father. Thank you for the hospitality and the ride to the bus station!
