The exact opposite of overcrowded Mauritius. Infrequent traffic, beautiful uncrowded beaches (the most beautiful ones are accessible on foot). The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, served with a morning smile. We also had a shared dinner at the accommodation, which is ideal for even better bonding between the very friendly hosts Jessica and Lino and other guests in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Merlin Guest House is a property set in Saint Francois. Some rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. The Guesthouse is in a beautiful location, just a five minute walk to Saint Francois Beach. There are hiking trails to nearby beaches that you can only access by walking.

It‘s a good place to spend a night when arriving late, as it‘s very close to the airport. The family is very nice, and I appreciated a lot the pick up from the airport, a nice breakfast. I even got some dinner (chargable of course) as there is no restaurant close by. The room is fine and the garden lovely.

Virginie was the sweetest host and so hospitable- was so kind and lovely and very responsive to any of my requests. make sure to ask her about the walk/ hikes around the property- some of the most beautiful views i’ve ever seen!!
