Comprising barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, Traditional Newari Homestay is a recently renovated accommodation in Pātan located close to Patan Durbar Square. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The homestay provides inner courtyard views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

Nir and his wife have been welcoming and always responsive to our needs. The location although a bit outside the centre was fine with us, in a quiet authentic area and easily accessible by taxis that you can book on the Indrive App. Strongly recommended!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Beautiful and clean homestay. Great view of Namabuddha monastery. The host family was incredible helpful and kind, their food was amazing. We are in Kathmandu now wishing that we stayed longer

Classic traditional hotel steps away from the Temples and cultural sites of Bhaktapur. The rooms are comfortable with good WiFi. This family owned gem is well worth the budget price. Highly recommend. I stayed here multiple times while traveling in Nepal.

Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and a housekeeping service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out, and currency exchange for guests. Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

I can’t recommend Shekhar’s Shared Home enough. Shekhar, the owner, goes above and beyond to ensure you have a full experience of Bhaktapur. He personally guides his guests, free of charge, through the winding alleys of the historic city, revealing the hidden gems of the area and introducing them to local delicacies. His guesthouse also has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. In the evenings, the living room transforms into a gathering spot where travelers from all over connect and share stories. If you’re traveling alone or want to experience Bhaktapur from a local’s perspective, Shekhar’s Shared Home is the perfect place.

With garden views, Sunrise Point Homestay is situated in Nagarkot and has a restaurant and room service. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy views of the mountain and lake. I had an amazing stay with Raj and his family. From the moment I set foot into their loving home, I was treated like one of their own. I had the privilege of joining them for their Mother’s Day party and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tamang culture, history and food. Thank you so much for everything :)

It is set 20 km from Pashupatinath and offers bicycle parking. Free private parking is available and the homestay also provides car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. A peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings, great host and delicious cooking! Couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and I had such a great sleep the bed was so comfortable. Thank you!!

Rooftop and terrace are amazing. Feels like home. The family running the place are kind, helpful, and welcoming. Kitchen/common area is nice.
