I’d like that the lodge was a few miles outside the main city in the town of Arue, there were many places I could walk to like the Norman Hall Museum, the City Hall, the black, the Le Tahiti, Pearl Beach, which has a public access and Venice point which is a lovely place to spend a day at the beach and they sell native crafts and clothing there. The room was air-conditioned and the bed was comfortable and the family who runs it, Maeva and Steve were very kind and accommodating.

Very good accommodation close to the airport and good for transit Tahiti. Tahia was very nice to us and gave us ideas about what to do with our time there. The attention to details were top notch.

The accommodation is a clean and comfortable separate guest room located behind the main house. In addition, you have access to an outdoor kitchen and pool. Nina is a great communicator and hostess. She provided me with great ideas and suggestions, i.e. the photo below was taken at her suggested ‘place to go for great sunsets’ (and cocktails!). She even offered to take me to the airport. I’d suggest renting her car, as the accommodation is located in a quiet neighborhood, up a hill, not within walking distance to restaurants.

TAMANU LODGE er staðsett í Punaauia, 800 metra frá Toaroto-ströndinni og 2,9 km frá Vaiava-ströndinni, og býður upp á garð- og garðútsýni. An outstanding Boulangerie is located within a couple of minutes walk. Vanina's hospitality and willingness to help we rate at 110%.

The hostess is a truly lovely person. This is a 3 generation family home and I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It’s not a 5-star hotel, it’s better in my opinion—a genuinely loving family home. The hostess sang for me a beautiful welcoming song about coconuts! That is special.

The room & bathroom was specious, super clean and beautifully decorated with flowers and 2 slices of cake when we arrived. Private & quiet location with comfy bed in air conditioned room. Ingrid (owner/host) could not have been more helpful. She collected a suitcase from another hotel and stored it for us while we were on the islands. And when our return flight got cancelled we were able to stay a second night and Ingrid dropped us to the airport for a 3 am departure. We felt so well looked after!
