From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble and he even kindly gave us a lift to the shops which was such a thoughtful touch. The apartment itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had the most stunning sea views. The area is lovely with many great restaurants within walking distance which made it the perfect location. We would highly recommend Shiraz and his apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway

The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family near by. It’s also close to the beach with wind surfing and kite surfing activity. The guesthouse was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Adam and Kelly were the perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious. Thank you Adam and Kelly for a lovely stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Built in a Cape Dutch style, Birkenhead Manor offers country style rooms decorated in bright yellow tones. Each room features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a mini bar. I did not eat breakfast but took a breakfast pack. They went through a lot of trouble to assist me in that way. It was a big help. I really enjoyed and appreciated their effort. The location was perfect for my needs.

This 4-star property boasts a heated swimming pool and BBQ facilities. We visited Cape Τown for Xmas and New Year and this was the exact perfect place we were looking for; a boutique establishment next to the sea with very friendly and accommodating host and staff that made us feel very welcomed, even during the time we organized our trip. Every corner in the shared facilities and the room is taken care of with great taste, peaceful and cozy with a positive vibe, and spotless clean! Our triplex room had direct access to the garden with the pool, that our seven year old son with his cousin loved and, ourselves relaxed on the sunbeds. The pool size is ideal for the young ones, still not for a traveler who is looking to enjoy it over the cold sea waters. Breakfast is of great variety for all tastes with warm dishes, and the staff taking good care of us. Overall, a stay that exceeded our expectations!

Jacques en sy vrou was baie gasvry en baie vriendelik en het seker gemaak dat ons enigiets kan vra as ons iets nodig het . Was baie rustig en was 'n uitstekende naweek gewees. Daar was wel 'n balcon wat gedeel was maar niemand was in enige iemand se pad nie. Ek sal enige tyd weer terug gaan vir 'n naweek of langer. Die omgewing was Nice. Nie te ver van die see af nie en naby al die malls en winkels. Wil nie vir Jacques and sy vrou baie dankie sê vir die wonderlike naweek en vir hulle gasvryheid.

The owners, Sharl and Jennifer were very friendly and helpful offering tips for places to visit. What stood out to my wife and I were the excellent breakfast on offer. Jennifer made an English breakfast, but also offered an excellent omelette and at other times crepes. The garden at Mandalay Beach Guest House is so beautiful, but so is the whole property! We would recommend this Guest House for those looking for a quiet vacation spot that is within a 10 minute walk from the beach, and also close to Cape Town. Our stay of 12 nights were absolutely enjoyable, we will miss the hospitality and graciousness of Sharl and Jennifer.
