The location is excellent. The staff was very pleasant and willing to help with anything you needed. The room was large, the beds very comfortable, and there was a locker and power outlets by each bed. There were plenty of bathrooms and they were very clean. I didn't use the kitchen, but it was very large and tidy.

Great little hotel in Clovelly area of Sydney. Stayed for a meet up with friends in the area, and the room was nice and roomy with good wifi. Free parking was a huge benefit - but be careful, there aren't many spaces so ask ahead.

Amazing location close to public transport, sights, opera, restaurants and cafés. The building itself is pretty amazing, with great history and the foundations uncovered. The reception staff were friendly and checked me in even before the official check-in time. My room was spacious, other hostels would try to fit 10 people in, but here we were only 6, so we had plenty of space. Every bed was equipped with a light and a socket, also the lockers have sockets inside of them which is convenient in case you want to charge your devices while not in the room. There is a beautiful terrace with a view. Big kitchen and lounge with plenty of seating and sockets. Reception sells nice pastries, sandwiches and coffee. I did not have breakfast but it looked superb, with croissants and muffins, toasts and cereals. The entire place is very spacious and bright.

Hostel is conveniently located near train stations (Central and Haymarket) and accessible to main attractions within few stops. Compared to other hostels in Sydney, Central YHA's cleanliness is excellent! The toilets were well ventilated and well maintained. Lounge area was super cosy and made me feel at home. My room was spacious and clean, I love waking up with a view of Central station clock tower.
