Very welcoming and sweet host, who takes real care, is flexible and friendly, and creates a community vibe. Female dormitory was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, and the big fan on the roof effective. In the evening I was a bit worried about the loud music of the restaurant next by, but they stop it early (maybe at 22h) so I could have a nice, early rest. There is an open-air kitchen available and wild fruits coming from the trees of the garden, like mangoes and maracuja, directly to your table. It's not very close to the beach (maybe a 15 mins walk), but it is in a quiet part of the village without too many tourists and bars, which I liked, and it's close to the quads that take you to Morerè beach. I would go back. Thanks Yuri!

Mama Africa Hostel 2 is a beautiful and welcoming home with a vibrant colorful decor and a great vibe. Every detail is carefully curated, and you wake up to the sound of birds, surrounded by nature. Breakfast is fresh from the garden, and on weekends, it’s served at Casa da Cultura, where you can enjoy your meal while reading one of its many books. Lili is an amazing host, full of passionate energy and care. As a digital nomad, I found it perfect for work. Gamboa is a chill neighborhood with friendly people, great for a walk anytime. Its pristine beaches are within a short walk, or you can take the boat – balsa – to Morro de São Paulo anytime for 6 BRL. After a day out, I enjoyed a swim in the pool and stargazing at night.
