Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Fit our needs perfectly for a quick stay before our departure back home, and the bed was very comfy. Shared bathroom was very clean, and so was the common area. The highlight was the gentleman who checked us in an provided our airport shuttle to us very early in the morning. He went above and beyond accommodating us and we appreciate it so much.

Lovely place in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. Hostel offers PU from the airport wich was perfectly arranged. Lovely garden very green and lush. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is included and very nice!

Katty is an amazing host!She was super friendly and helpful,she let us stay in the hotel whole day after check out cause our flight was delayed. Big big thanks to her for that! I think the highlight of my stay at Alajuela Backpackers was the staff, they were helpful, friendly and flexible which was greatly appreciated as I made several mistakes with my booking. I also tried the restaurant which provided quick and tasty food. Overall I greatly enjoyed my stay at the hostel and would recommend it handily if staying in a private room.

This accommodation has everything you need. Every detail is thought out and the space is comfortable and spacious. From all the hostels I have been this has to be the best one. I felt at home immediately and the host will do everything to make you feel comfortable and are available anytime. At first, I was hesitant as I am a female solo traveler and the place did not have many reviews, but this is due to the fact it’s a new hostel, and now I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting San Jose. The location is very central, eating spots at walkable distance, supermarket, even a cute book store. Felt very safe here!

The owners were great people and always there. They were ready to help you with anything you needed and the communication was excellent. The facilities were the same quality. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The dorm was very clean, as was the entire place, the beds were made every day and the showers cleaned the same. Each bed had a curtain which provided a lot of privacy. Overal a great place to stay and the location was excellent as well.
