The Hostel its in the center, very clean and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! The staff it’s made by volunteers and for the time that I was there everyone was nice and welcoming! There is hot shower and internet works in the dorm Really recommend!

Great place! Incredibly kind host and volunteers, will go out of their way to help you and generally there's a cozy home-like atmosphere. The place is quite new, so super tidy and neat, with a very well equipped kitchen! Got great recommendations for acitivities and had an overall wonderful stay. Can recommend!!

Really good new hostel. Run by an Argentine couple who have travelled extensively. Activities are organised and structured well so people can join or opt in as they like. Loads of information on free activities & about as good a deal on tours as you can find in La Fortuna. Kitchen was the best equipped I've seen in Central America. And there's free coffee in the mornings!

Absolutely great place with amazing staff, well-stocked kitchen, good wi-fi, and comfortable (if a little too cold) dorms. It has a direct river access and several common areas (although, sadly, the only spot with poor wi-fi happens to be the assigned co-work space).

We had an absolutely amazing time at Blackout Hostel. Most notably, the location and the staff/people. Just a couple minutes walk to the city center with nice restaurants, bakeries, and shops. Also about 10-15 minutes walk to this spectacular waterfall where everyone goes to jump off the rocks and swing from the Tarzan rope. Tony, the owner, was so kind and welcoming. We spent every night chatting in the main room with the other guests and even went out all together at the club next door. If you're looking for a fun time focused on experiences, this is the place to be.

Amazing social area, really nice to relax and meet fellow travellers, right in the city center. They also have a good offering of tours and activities if one wants to go for it
