It's in the heart of the village, near all shops and restaurants. The room had river view and the restaurant is good, cheap and by the river. Staff is very helpful and offered to contact the agency taking us to Abu Simbel to make sure they were coming to pick us up. Highly recommended. Definitely the nicest place to stay in Aswan

There aren't enough superlatives to describe Nia as a host. She went out of her way to not only accommodate me, but share her time, recomendations, and even food along with facilitating scam-free tours for fair prices which is absolutely invaluable in Egypt. The hostel is also located in a quaint, traditional Nubian village which isn't touristic and is devoid of the hassle present along Aswan's main drag. Not only would I stay here again, but I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Aswan, particularly if they're travelling solo and value accomodation which is affordable, homely, and authentic.

My stay at Wanees Hostel was amazing in every way! The place has a perfect location in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile! The cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms, was excellent, which I truly appreciate. The tour arrangements were professional and helped me explore the city in a fun and smooth way. The atmosphere inside the hostel is comfortable and lively, and the staff adds a wonderful positive energy to the experience. I sincerely thank the whole team for their hospitality, and I will definitely come back again!

The hotel is in a privileged location, with stunning views of the Nile and direct access down a set of stairs. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, perfect to relax. The room was excellent: spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Asmaa, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She also cooks wonderfully – if you’re lucky enough to try her traditional homemade food, you’ll truly enjoy it. The breakfasts were fantastic too, and one morning she even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our excursion. I absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again

Great place enough that Rehab (the owner of this hostel) organized a wonderful trip to Abu Simbel for us. The food in this beautiful place is made with love from real Nubian hands. Thank you for helping us all the time

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave me plenty of recommendations and did not overcharge for water (like many hostels and hotels do). The area felt safe as staff as well as locals from the village would assist if need be.

Property is in a quiet area of Aswan, away from the noisy city. Crossing the street it has an exclusive area to swim into the Nile river or do some kayaking, which are rented for a cheap price. They also offer water and soft drinks and a small breakfast included. You can easily spend many days relaxing in the hostel, without even leaving to do attractions.

Great owner who was very helpful, the room was nice, and I loved the view from the rooftop! The hostel is on the island and is very easy and cheap to reach by public ferry (takes 5mins). Walking around the island is also fun. Check out King Jamaica for some good food. :)

This village is great if you want to experience local life. The staff here are really nice and always ready to help with a smile. It's very safe to walk around this island even at night. I felt comfortable with the Nubian people and trusted them completely. For those seeking conformity, this hostel may not align. But if you want to relax and enjoy the peacefulness while looking at the stars, this is the place to be
