Everything was great — the room and bathroom were very clean. New facilities in excellent condition. The kitchen was perfect for preparing a sandwich or something quick to eat. Perfect location, very close to everything. 100% recommended.

First of all, the location is just EXCELLENT. The hostel is very beautiful, not only the rooms, but even bathrooms, hallway, main café-restaurant, and I enjoyed a lot even the exchange with the people living there! Lastly, I personally appreciated a lot the big lockers we have, cause I was able to store everything while I was gone, so I felt very safe and never worried for any safety/privacy reasons! Overall, I would definitely recommend it!!!

Yellowsquare Athens was absolutely perfect! The vibe is super social, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with nice views and super clean. The location is Great, just a short walk from the main attractions and well connected to public transport. The rooftop bar is perfect, beautiful views of the acropolis and full of activities to meet other people (shoutout to augusto that recommended the best beach in athens) Special thanks to the staff, super helpful and friendly, recommended cool sposts to visit. I’ll 100% come back next time I’m in the city!

Baloo Hostel is truly a gem in Athens! The whole place is designed with so much love and attention to detail – it feels both stylish and cozy at the same time. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel instantly at home; they’re not only incredibly helpful but also some of the kindest, loveliest people you’ll meet. The location is great for exploring Athens. At first glance, the neighborhood might seem a little rough around the edges, but I never once felt unsafe – in fact, it added to the authentic local vibe. What makes Baloo even more special is the great program and activities they offer, which make it so easy to meet people and feel part of a community. It’s the kind of hostel you arrive at as a traveler and leave as a friend. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Athens – you’ll feel welcomed, inspired, and right at home.

The staff were incredible! The front desk being open 24/7 really helped because you always knew there was going to be somebody there when you needed assistance. They were happy to answer any questions you might have and you could store your luggage in their luggage room if you had a long time between checkout and your flight. Location was in between Omonia and Monastiraki so everything was close by and easily accessible, felt a little unsafe the first night because the area seemed a bit sketchy but you got used to it and the location turned out to be amazing! The rooms were cleaned every day and the beds were clean and neatly made when you arrived to check in. You also had a spacious personal locker in your room, but you have to bring your own lock for it. I didn’t participate in any hostel activities, nor did I go up to the rooftop, I just slept in my room. This was not because it didn’t seem interesting enough to try out but because I was always out sightseeing so I didn’t have time. Therefore I have no feedback to give on that but I heard from my roommates that they were happy and content with the activities planned by the hostel:) All in all a very nice experience for my very first hostel stay. Thank you so much, I will definitely be returning!
