I'm Australian and visited during the low season and had the most incredible stay — it honestly felt like this family had a magic wand hidden somewhere. Every little problem I brought with me, they solved with such kindness and ease. From helping me get tailored clothes made, to fixing the screen on my phone, to preparing the most delicious meals, to even arranging a local traveler to accompany me to the ghats — they thought of everything. Mohit’s wife cooks the most amazing food, with a huge variety of delicious home-style Indian dishes. I probably ate 70% of my meals here, and every bite was a treat! As a solo woman traveler, I felt completely safe and cared for. When I ran into trouble with a bad Uber driver, they stepped in right away and sorted it out without hesitation. Whatever was on my to-do list, they somehow made it happen. Their home is full of warmth, laughter, and the sweetest little girls you’ll instantly fall in love with. Mohit’s mother also carries such wisdom and clarity in her words that, even when she spoke in Hindi, I found myself understanding. They’re wonderfully creative too — they hand painted uplifting murals to brighten the walls, from a cute panda to a serene Buddha, and they’ve even made cozy seats out of recycled tyre wheels. In the evenings, the open terrace is the perfect place to sit, while doves that have been nesting there for over five years coo gently in the background. The family also runs a small shop, so snacks and drinks are always within easy reach. Compared to the bustle of the city, this place is peaceful and quiet, yet still just a short walk from the Buddhist temples in Sarnath. The rooms are comfortable, with options to suit everyone — from dorms to single rooms and larger family spaces. Truly, this is the BEST place I have ever stayed. If you’re looking for safety, comfort, care, and unforgettable hospitality, look no further — you’ll find it here.

Wonderful find on booking.com for our stay in Varanasi. We even extend our stay at the hostel. Accommodation by assi gât so very central We have had breakfast on the rooftop which was delicious Room is very clean, has tea coffee facilities in the room as we had private room Lovely shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water which can be a rare find.... Clean towels Staff are very friendly, and kind. Always with a smile Thank you for a wonderful stay

The location- close enough to the ghats and old city attractions. The staff made me feel completely at home. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always ready to help with directions. The property is well maintained, thoughtfully designed. The rooms were spotless and very cozy. Everything was perfect.

Lovely place. The staff were always really amazing. Friendly and get to know you and very helpful. The vibe is really good, with a great atmosphere on the rooftop terrace. I absolutely loved my bed too, so spacious and the personal fan is a wonderful touch.

great hostel, exactly what you’d expect from a backpacker hostel. Great common area (games room, guest shower, terrace with kitchen). Really makes for a relaxed atmosphere. we stayed for holi, and when things got a bit rowdy in town we came back here where there was a really nice party (very safe, with checks of who was allowed in and who not). the people who work there are super friendly and accommodating for traveler’s needs (clear info and help, even provided extra soap and towel to use for our post holi shower). highly recommend!

Perfect location. The hostel really exceeded my expectations, super clean and great facilities. Staff were friendly and all the people I met were friendly too. It felt super safe. The neighbourhood was also very safe. Great location for the old town. I was sad to leave and will return!

This was the best hostel experience I had. Clean, great circumstances to meet new people (big common area) and all in all just a very good place.

I really liked everything! The bedroom was really beautiful, spacious and clean. Beautiful pool and very kind and smiling stuff! It was more an hotel than hostel! Good wifi connection for us, digital nomads! The location was pretty good! The neighbourhood was very safe and full of street food at night. Great location!
