I had a truly wonderful stay at this brand-new hostel. The entire space is thoughtfully designed, especially for those interested in "workation" or yoga practice. The comfort level is top-notch; the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the washroom facilities were impeccably neat and clean. They’ve ensured maximum privacy and convenience with essentials like curtains, a reading light, and a charging socket available at every single bed. The location is a perfect balance. It’s set in a wonderfully peaceful location, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main cliff to ensure quiet contemplation, but still perfectly accessible. A grocery store, scooty rental, and a local cafe are all just 100 meters away. The small communal kitchen is a huge plus for cooking basic meals, and the free water refilling station shows they care about sustainability. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a tranquil base for remote work or a place to deepen their yoga practice. I definitely plan to return soon! Yes Hostel in Varkala isn’t just a place to stay it’s a vibe, a community, and for me, a turning point. As a first time solo traveler, I was unsure about the whole hostel experience. But trusting my instincts and booking four nights here turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I arrived, I felt a genuine sense of belonging that completely changed my perception of hostel life. Harish, the host, is incredibly welcoming and made me feel at ease right away. Shafeeq, the ever jovial chef, brought laughter and warmth to every moment. Vineesh, the creative soul behind the hostel’s quirky art, added a splash of personality to the space. And Steven, a fellow traveler from Hyderabad, became an unexpected companion whose presence made my stay even more memorable. They helped me plan my daily itinerary and even included me in their evening hangouts walking along the cliffside beach, sharing stories, and playing endless rounds of badminton. And then there’s Angel, their adorable indie dog, who added an extra layer of comfort and companionship to my stay. She’s the kind of furry friend who makes a place feel like home. This experience completely reshaped my perception of hostels. What started as a solo trip ended with me gaining a second family. I’d choose Yes Hostel again in a heartbeat no second thoughts, no regrets. If you're looking for a place that’s not just comfortable but also filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable company, this is it. I loved the charm and ambiance of the place. It was calm and relaxing. Very close access to the beach. The staff is present and friendly. Very good value for money. Ideal for solo travelers who want conviviality.

I just checked out of Haust, Varkala, after an amazing stay. The place was peaceful and quiet, offering a perfect retreat. Wasim, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful, guiding me with bike rentals, the best food spots, and must-visit places. The property was well-maintained and had a fantastic vibe. .

I highly recommend this recently-opened hostel with a lovely personnel ready to help. All amenities are new and clean. There is a nice rooftop space with a nice view toward the sea.

THE Place to stay in Varkala! For all Lovers of the beaches aside the tourist hustle & bustle in main Varkala -Cliff & Coral is your place to choose! It’s just 2mins walk away from the beautiful beach and the hostel is nestled in a garden with many trees which give you nice shade during the hot hours of the day! The Dorms are clean and each one has a private Terrace/ Veranda to hang out as well :) Ani & Nathan who are running the Hostel are very friendly, welcoming everyone with a smile and try everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible! I stayed about a week here meeting many friendly and relaxed people and would always love to come back when I’m in Kerala! Thank you!

Staff - Very accommodating, friendly, and polite (especially Abhi). Cleanliness - The rooms and washrooms get cleaned everyday. Location - It's just a short walk to the helipad from the hostel, but the location is away from all the noise and crowd. Activities - They organize group activities on most days for the guests.
