The room was very clean and well laid out compared to other places we stayed at in Japan. The location was excellent, everything was in good walking distance. Staff was very welcoming and nice. I would highly recommend this place for everyone visiting Sapporo!

The location is right beside Hokkaido University so the neighborhood is very quiet, especially at night. The hostel also operates a popular cafe so there are options for breakfast and dinner. While there is minimal interaction with hostel staff during my stay, they did hold a seasonal party right outside during my last evening so there was that memorable moment with them at the end.

Open from November 2014, Guest House Waya offers dorm beds, free WiFi. It features a shared kitchen including a cooking stove, microwave and fridge. Shared dormitory rooms come with bunk beds.

Everything was clean. The rooms were clean and most shockingly the bathrooms as well which were spotless. There were lockers inside the room and slippers were provided. I did not have the time to check out the showers and public bath unfortunately. The friendly staff was extremely cooperative with an issue I had. The place was also conveniently right next to a train station.

Right in the middle of the shopping street.. so convenient and lively atmosphere. About 10 to 15 mins walk to Sapporo Station, and you can just walk conveniently using the underground link. Room was cosy and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Was thankful that they were able to store some of my shopping loots while I tour around Hokkaido before returning to Sapporo again. There are also airport buses nearby which makes it quite accessible too.
