We had an incredible stay at Kottamba Villa in Tangalle! From start to finish, our host Lushan went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. The host and location were fantastic, situated right by the entrance to Medaketiya Beach with safe swimming area and close to the stunning Mangrove Beach and national parks. The service was unexpectedly excellent, and the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options for the price. Best lassi in this area.

Amazing hostel with great location, I returned here after staying there for 7 days for one more night. The owners and staff were the sweetest and always there to help. I was staying in the dorm which was clean and cozy, the breakfast included was great! Could recommend :)

The beds are large, clean and very comfortable. The concrete absorbs all the sound so you get a good night's sleep and they have curtains for privacy. The location is great with restaurants nearby and a short walk from the beach.

This is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. So comfortable, quiet, very clean and sweet. Only one room with 8 beds with makes it calm even if it’s fully booked. I enjoyed it so much. The cafe in the garden is great, with nice coffee and cake. There’s also a nice clothes shop🥰

Amazing home and family. We so much enjoy that we had book another night. Everything is clean. Our room was really good and comfortable. The share bathroom is perfect, really clean and easy to use with all the supplies. They provide food also and let me say that we had the best kottu ever of our 1 month trip in Sri Lanka. The breakfast are amazing too.

I stayed here last night and had a great experience! It’s a newly opened hostel with a really nice atmosphere. The host is super friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect — just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen and lobby areas are beautiful and free to use if you want to make your own meals. Definitely great value for money! Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Hiriketiya.

I stayed in this home for three nights. It was an amazing experience. The home is owned by a beatiful family. The house is a classic sri lankan home, you have a garden you can use. Rooms are super comfortable. Everything is so clean and prepared for the guests. There is a kitchen you can use and they have filtered water for the guests. Just few steps away you have beatiful nillwella island and hiriketiya beach. The neighbourhood is so great, you can socialize with local people who are so friendly. If you want to experience real sri lanka, come to muru's place. Plus, they will make you the best sri lankan breakfast with outstanding coconunt symbol, and the dinner is out of this world. I know I will be coming back.
