EVERYTHING! The most beautiful owner and her gorgeous kids, made me feel at home straight away. The hostel is lovely, with yoga sessions and deliciiious meals available! Judith is a wonderful, kind, bubbly person who’s energy and hospitality made this hostel/homestay my favourite in the whole of Sri Lanka. The location is a good walk out of the centre (maybe 25 mins) , but grabs/tuktuks are cheap and available!

A very welcoming and completely renovated property surrounded by greenery, very close to "Jungle Beach," a unique experience that immerses you in the true culture of Sri Lanka. Although the hostel is not currently on Google Maps, and therefore difficult to find, there is a Tuc Tuc service offered by the host who will take you from the first hostel, "Oops," to "Hanuman Heights"! Very nice! Definitely an experience to try at least once in your life.

Dorms were big with A/C, confortable beds with large locker. Big kitchen and super nice staff. There is a scooter rental place nearby.

I stayed there for 2 nights in April 2025 and had a lovely time there. The beds are comfortable in a big dorm with individual ventilators, mosquito nets, and cupboards. In addition, there are many common facilities including a very big and fully equipped kitchen. At walking distance, there are restaurants, a beach, and a supermarket to get some groceries. Galle's station is 10 minutes away with PickMe/Uber. Highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful week at Sanithu Homestay! I don’t even know where to start, our time there felt like a little fairytale. We woke up to the sounds of birds, the green garden and immediately felt home from the first day on. Besides the amazing garden and terrace, we enjoyed being around this amazing family! All four of them made our time very special! Champi is an outstanding cook and did her magic every day for breakfast and dinner, considering our requests and being very passionate about sharing her knowledge about Sri Lankan food. We loved all the meals and each day were already looking forward to the next dish. We hope to be back some day and will keep these memories for ever in our hearts. Thank you so much!
