My stay at Elmar was just amazing! The place is really beautiful and well crafted, the shared room is spacious, gives a very nice sense of privacy and the beds are really comfortable. The team is just the sweetest, they really help in making the place special and welcoming for everyone. I loved how it is a very calm hostel, but allows for a very social atmosphere. Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in <3

Very nice spacious room. Awesome shower, hammock in the room which was cool for hanging out! Complementary coffee and a good location. What more does one need? That’s right, nothing ;)

Locaton at the lake was amazing, the staff was great and very easy to connect with and good with languages! A lot of activities to do with the hostel. When checking out Imari (?) Made my day by a small unexpected compliment.

The family feel, super friendly and sociable. The place itself was also lovely and breezy. Delaite went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and content. From booking a taxi, giving me a pep talk when I felt sad, inviting me to a local street party, and generally always being there with an open ear. Could have made h this my home in all honesty! I had an amazing time at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed, from organizing tours to giving great local tips. Especially Andreja! The location is perfect — right near the lagoon, with stunning views and easy access to everything. The facilities were spotless, the common areas were super chill, and the vibe was exactly what I was looking for: relaxed and social without being too noisy. I loved the pool and rooftop to relax. The bed was comfortable, and I really appreciated the privacy of a private room. I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Bacalar — it felt like a little home away …
