A nice hostel just a few blocks from the central park in Leon. The place had a quiet, pleasant vibe to it, which is what I was seeking. The main floor had five sleeping rooms, a combination of dorms and private rooms, I believe all with shared baths. The second floor had four more private rooms, each with its own private bath. The breakfasts were always good, with a choice of three types of breakfast. Once breakfast ended, guest were free to use the kitchen the rest of the day. Coffee and filtered water were also available throughout the day. If you're looking for a nice, pleasant stay in Leon, Hostal La Tortuga Booluda is a good choice.

Great location and wonderful staff! Really enjoyed my stay there. Leon has a dry heat, so whilst it's hot in the day it's really not that bad at night, each bed had its own personal fan which was completely sufficient. Definitely recommend booking the volcano boarding tour through them, they use volcano days which is way better than other companies, plus it's Nicaraguan owned.

Our favourite accomiddation in over a month travel around central America. Very clean, very peaceful, great stuff, AC, fun, nice swimming pool and cery big and comfortable shared bathroom. In our room wifi was around 20 mbps so good enough ;)

The place is clean and cozy. It has a good restaurant/bar with many different typical dishes, so you can have here breakfast and dinner, trying every day different things, and then drink something enjoying the atmosphere. Everything is also relatively cheap. The staff is really good, always nice and ready to help you in case of questions. Here you are also able to book excursions of all kinds.

Very clean, very comfortable beds and well equipped with lights, plugs etc. The garden looks very charming especially in the evening with lots of lights. The staff were super nice and organised social activities. Like many others I had fun volcano boarding and went to Bigfoot afterwards for a bit of a party but was happy to come to Poco a Poco afterwards.

It's a great place to stay, close to everything but you can still get a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast is amazing! Gallo pinto, toast and eggs. It fills you up for hours. The staff are constantly cleaning. The garden is a great place to relax. There are comfortable hammocks. You know how fans are always dusty? They're spotless here, it was one of the first things we noticed as it's so unusual. My partner has a dust allergy so having a clean fan made a difference. There's nothing to dislike, it's excellent value and I highly recommend it.
