it’s absolutely gorgeous and located in the jungle at the base of volcan maderas. the owners and staff are beautiful and so helpful and will organise any tours for you or help you with anything you need. loved everything! such a lovely and idyllic little paradise. I felt at home and at ease the moment I set foot in this place. every single one of the staff at El Pital is so welcoming and friendly and simply a joy to be around. - you made my stay here that much more happy! special shout-out to Danibeth, Junior, Angel and Ashley! the Yoga classes in the mornings were the best I’ve had on my trip so far and the cacao ceremony with Mia was absolutely fantastic! I’ve also done the cacao tour, which I can highly recommend. - Justin is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about cacao, which made it the most entertaining, in-depth and eye open tour I’ve been on. we were all just hanging on Justin‘s lips and didn’t realise how the hours past. Shout out to the ladies and gentlemen in the little chocolate factory who bring all the cacao magic to life!

The uniqueness of the hostel is unreal. The authenticity and the little bit of magic that is here makes this place an amazing stay! By far coolest hostel. Having a nice big kitchen and fire pit makes it feel like home. The animals and the fruit trees. The stories about each of the caravans. If your looking for a vibe this is it!

We absolutely loved staying at Rancho Tranquillo. It is right across the lake so you can enjoy swimming and the sunsets. Daniella & Tony are very welcoming and friendly. We had a very delicious breakfast made by Daniella. Their property is also so great, there are all types of animals running around and you can pick fresh mangoes from their mango tree. They were also kind enough to let us leave some of our luggage so that we could rent a scooter more easily and travel around the island.

Beautiful hostel, friendly and helpfull staff, all well organized, clean rooms, comfy bed, high speed internet and fantastic food. Bar with biggest selection of beers I saw in Nicaragua. What more could one want?

Everything was perfect! The place was super clean, the breakfast delicious and the staff it’s awesome, very friendly and kind, they really make you feel home. I booked for one night at first but I ended up spending there three more nights! If I’ll be in Ometepe again I will definitely stay there!
