I loved my stay at Swastik! Such a personal experience as I got to speak with and get to know the owner and manager personally, who were both so friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the area. The hostel was clean and well maintained and the staff are always happy to help and genuinely want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I also met such nice and interesting people at the hostel, I can’t say I met anyone I didn’t like! The food was also amazing and really reasonably priced. I ate the best dal bhat I had in my whole Nepal visit and all the vegetables were organic and grown on the hostel’s own farm. Bhaktapur was also an incredible city with such a beautiful insight into traditional Nepali culture with the friendliest people!

I had an absolutely perfect stay at Rest Up. Although sharing a 12-bed dorm never sounds like the most ideal, it was a really good experience, I had really lovely roommates and made some great friends in the whole hostel. Everyone is so friendly, including the staff, the whole place has a homely feel to it with plenty of space to sit on your own or sit with others. They also have a kitchen where you can pay for meals, the food’s really good and they also have a fridge with beer and water when you fancy a drink.

They went over and beyond the call of duty by getting me a heater and filling my thermos with hot tea, as I had just come from warm Thailand with nothing but a swim suit, shorts, tank top, and flip flops, plus they got me a cab ride with their friend for a good price. The towels and comforter smelled extremely clean and the people were friendly and cheerful (the visitors and staff).

Really an excellent place, great value, friendly and helpful staff, the hostel is located right in the middle of Tamel, wich is the touristic neighborhood of Katmadu, there's a lot of people and stuff going on outside of the hostel, still the place manages to have a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, the restaurant is also really good with high quality options, the guys working at the restaurant are exceptional, I'll come back for sure after my trek

Everyone was so nice, and instead of just hosts and guests, people become new friends They arrange daily activities (mostly completly for free) and that was a great opportunity for us to get around and do stuff in Kathmandu/Patan It is very clean and neat with nice facilities
