I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lylo Auckland Hostel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. With extensive hostel experience across the globe, I can confidently declare Lylo as one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. First and foremost, Lylo boasts a new, chic, and modern atmosphere that immediately sets it apart. The attention to cleanliness and comfort is remarkable, making it a haven for weary travelers. The sleeping pods are an absolute game-changer, providing both privacy and a serene environment for a restful sleep. Despite its size, the hostel is expertly organized, ensuring that even with a full house, you never feel overwhelmed by the crowd. In fact, the ambiance often feels intimate, as if you're among a close-knit group of fellow adventurers. The communal spaces are vibrant hubs of activity, whether you're unwinding in the lounge, getting work done in the dedicated workspace, or mingling in the kitchen. While I didn't utilize the kitchen much, opting instead to dine at the adjacent restaurant, I appreciated its presence and the opportunity it provided for social interaction. Speaking of socializing, the nightly activities hosted by the hostel are not to be missed. From bar quizzes to engaging games, there's never a dull moment at Lylo. These events are perfect for meeting fellow travelers and forging new connections. Last but certainly not least, the staff at Lylo are truly exceptional. Always ready to assist with a smile, they elevate the hostel experience to new heights. Their warmth and professionalism make Lylo a shining example for hostels worldwide. friendly step, the vibe, people, and more

It was really good that they have a lot of common areas where you can work or chill, especially even it’s past midnight unless you stay quiet. They have multiple shower rooms and toilets. The kitchen is pretty big and the plates and utensils are abundant. The curtain by the bed is good to keep your privacy. The staffs are also really nice.

Very comfortable, compact and friendly

The room and bathroom are super clean and fresh, and the staff are warm-hearted and friendly, always ready to offer advice and help. The daily hostel management is clear and highly efficient as well. The location is peaceful yet close to Auckland CBD, Newmarket, Mt Eden, and Parnell, making transportation very convenient. I’d say it’s the best hostel in the city!
