A fantastic place to stay. The location is very peaceful and situated next to a park. The staff are fantastic. A social yet relaxed hostel. It is great for meeting people. There is a large kitchen, sitting room and a very peaceful back garden where you could relax all day. I would highly recommend staying here!

The staff there awesome!! Special for James and Anne :) Both of them always nice to all the people and very helpful. I lost my bear in the room when I checked out and they keep the bear for 2 weeks for me! I really love the people there and I meet a lots friends. :) Here I will highly recommend if you're looking for a backpacker to knowing people.

Aside from the code at the main door, the dorm door also had a key. It was clever to have the drawers under the bunk beds, a plus to have the curtains in each bed and I really like that they did not cram the room with more bunk beds, making it feel spacious.

Located in Auckland CBD (Central Business District), Silverfern Backpackers features rooms offering city views. Guests have access to a games room and a BBQ area.

Reading some reviews i’ve been expecting dirty place full if weirdos but i definetely disagree. ALL SPACES ARE CLEANED EVERYDAY. Bathrooms are not smelly, my bed was comfortable and reception staff is lovely and take care about you. Ok, there are some longstays but everyone is kind, you can feel safe there and i think that’s one of the staff main priorities. Maybe it does’t have a typical backpacker vibe but no need to overpay choosing other places if you’re here just for a while.
