One of my top hostels in Central America! Bodhi is everything a hostel should be, it was spacious, clean, with friendly staff, events/ways for solo travellers to meet, as well as a well stocked kitchen with lots of space and hot showers! They also had lots of different hang out spaces, places to eat, socialise, rest etc. But also got the little things right e.g. they set clear expectations for the dorms and then made it possible for this to work e.g. lights out at x time, but here is several other spaces you hang out until whatever time you like! The breakfast was also excellent, cooked fresh and varying each morning it was a great way to start the day. They have a movie room, bikes to rent, a yoga space and organised hikes which were a lot of fun. The mattresses even had mattress protectors (a tiny bit noisy but that’s so fine as at least you know they take hygiene seriously!). The value for money was also excellent. Beds had their own curtains, power outlets, lights, fans and lockers. No space was cramped either.

Hostal La Casa de Juan features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Valle de Anton. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue.

The $3 breakfast was good and reasonably priced / the music was tasteful and not too loud. There is a decent food store just 2 minutes away.

a very special experience - the people there really took care of us and treated us like very good friends, it’s not at all expensive and you have the beach and surfing about 30m away. They also organize many special events like yoga, mobility classes, dancing, parties and excursions to a nice waterfall (many of those for free)

supercosy hostel, calm, close to the india dormida hike(perfect for a sunrise hike), breakfast included and nice with a private room! good value for the money! clean and lovely view from the hammock! would definitely recommend it!

Amazing experience, I loved the area, the town, the specific location which was close to the centre, but also in a very quite part of it. The views, the nature around was incredible. And what really exceeded my expectations was the air quality - I travelled during the humid season and everywhere else I needed an air conditioner but not here. They DO have an air conditioner but the weather was so pleasant that I didn't even turn it on! Also, the price was great!

Auxi and her family made us feel at home. They are very warm and friendly people. They live in a beautiful little village in the hills. Some lovely young people from the area went for a walk with us. Auxi cooked tasty food for us. We enjoyed the beautiful garden.
