Everything was clean, staff was super friendly, and the whole place has really nice and calm vibe, you can meet also cool people there. Also I felt very safe. Adding privacy curtains to the bunk beds would make a big difference, especially given the limited space. The facilities are decent and kept clean. It’s conveniently located near the bus station. The location is great—away from the hustle and chaos of the town center and closer to the mountains, just the way I like it. Overall, it’s a great value for money and a solid spot to meet other backpackers and solo travelers.

All guest rooms at the hostel come with a private bathroom and bed linen. Lovely little hostel. It felt very much like the guesthouses I have stayed in in some parts of Europe. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very nicely equipped. The main gathering areas were comfortable and had everything you need. The staff were very welcoming as well. Lots of parking! Directions given were great as it is out of GPS range and made it super easy to find. I would definitely stay again.

The location of the hostel is exceptional: very secluded in the woods, on a fairly steep slope of SW exposure, lots of sunshine day time (even in winter :-), beautiful view from the deck towards Three Sisters. Main lodge and the cabins are built in classic alpine style. The place is far enough from the hwy not to hear it but close enough to downtown Canmore (5 min or so). The interior of the main lodge is very cozy and stylish (wood), too; the common use rooms are nicely decorated, etc. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
